Therapeautic Exercises
Carefully designed physical activities aimed at restoring strength, flexibility, balance, and overall function. They are tailored to meet individual needs, helping to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance recovery from injuries or surgeries.
Myofascial Decompression
Therapeutic technique that uses specialized cups to create a vacuum effect on the skin and underlying tissues. This suction helps to release tension in the fascia, improve blood flow, and reduce muscle tightness, promoting healing and pain relief. MFD is commonly used to treat chronic pain, muscle stiffness, and myofascial trigger points, offering a non-invasive approach to improving mobility and function.
IASTM
Therapeutic technique that uses specialized tools to massage and mobilize soft tissues, such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments. The tools help detect and treat areas of restriction, scar tissue, or adhesions by applying controlled pressure to break down tissue fibrosis and promote healing. IASTM is commonly used to treat conditions like tendinitis, muscle strains, and fascial restrictions, improving flexibility, reducing pain, and enhancing overall mobility.
Range of Motion
The full movement potential of a joint, typically measured in degrees. It encompasses both passive range of motion (movement performed by an external force) and active range of motion (movement performed by the individual). Maintaining or improving ROM is essential for preventing stiffness, reducing pain, and ensuring proper joint function, and it is often a key focus in rehabilitation and physical therapy treatments.
Dry Needling
Technique used by physical therapists to treat muscular pain and dysfunction. It involves inserting thin, sterile needles into trigger points or tight bands of muscle to stimulate a healing response, reduce pain, and improve muscle function. Dry needling helps release muscle knots, improve blood flow, and promote the body’s natural healing processes, offering relief for conditions such as chronic pain, headaches, and muscle stiffness.
Spinal Manipulation
Manual therapy technique used to treat musculoskeletal pain, particularly in the back and neck. It involves applying controlled force to the spine to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore proper alignment. Often performed by chiropractors or physical therapists, spinal manipulation can help alleviate discomfort from conditions like sciatica, herniated discs, and tension headaches by improving spinal function and relieving nerve irritation.
